Construit en 1869, le Théâtre National de Belgrade est l'un des premiers bâtiments modernes érigés après la libération de Belgrade de la suprématie Ottomane. Juste en face du monumént à la gloire du Prince Mihailo, le populaire "Chevalier", ce théâtre accueille également l'Opéra et le Ballet National de Belgrade, et c'est ici que la plupart de pièces de musique classique sont jouées.

Composé de deux parties, l'ancienne complétement reconstruite et accueillant la grande salle et la nouvelle, très moderne accueillant une petite salle pour de petites présentations, le bâtiment n'est pas pour autant terminé, et tend à s'étendre également de l'autre côté de la Place de la République.

Ouvert tous les jours à partir de 20h.
La visite du théâtre est gratuite.
15€ correspond au prix approximatif d'un billet de spectacle.
