Europe.org is based on the successful wikipedia model, ie. the content is provided, modified, referenced by any users, registered members of europe.org or not. It is free to use, to download, to copy, to modify and to re-use for commercial purposes or not. Europe.org has now 1.4 millions geographical locations references, over 10,000 museums - 60,000 hotels - 15,000 restaurants. There are no employees, it is run by volunteers only.
* We are now experimenting with a new concept: all profits from advertizing on this site are to be re-distributed to the users who participate in enriching the content. For now, it is based on a contest basis, and our goal is to expand the model so that most users will benefit.
